It is hard to believe that August is already here. What a summer! Hot and politically charged! And the “dog days” haven’t even arrived yet. The Back-to-School and off-to-college promotions are starting, and the NFL lockout is over and the players are training again. These fall rites serve as a gentle reminder that we need to get ready for a new season and, for communicators, that means a professional career tune-up might be a good idea.

Annual Networking and Resume Review Night Heats Up August 11 |

Yeah, baby, it’s hot out there! But the summer swelter means it is time for IABC DC/Metro’s signature event, a night of Networking, Resume Review and Career Coaching. This annual tradition brings together a diverse group of the Washington metro area’s communicators to meet and mingle and learn about local hiring trends and tips for marketing yourself. There is also an opportunity for free resume critiques and career coaching from a team of volunteers. .
